Small Groups

Prayer Breakfasts for Men and Women

Currently we have four prayer breakfasts that meet throughout the week.  They are designed to promote a Christ-centered life and empower believers

United Methodist Women

This is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of missions through participation in global ministries of the church.  Periodic monthly general meetings help keep everyone updated on events and activities.  Special events include the Mother's Day Luncheon and the Senior Recognition.

This is a group of men who have been touched by God for a purpose. They all struggle, yet are filled with the Holy Spirit. They believe that God calls us to connect with others for greater strength.  They meet on Wednesday evenings at 6:00, downstairs next to the Choir room, at Saint Mark United Methodist Church.  They have casual, yet in depth Bible studies, accountability groups and weekly prayer breakfasts.

Women's Ministry - "Girl Talk"

We need Godly friendships in order to grow closer to Jesus. we are here to encourage each other through prayer, laughter, and tears. We want to be honest and real with all that God is working in our lives. Accountability is essential to our growth as Christians, and sometimes that is difficult in large groups. We want everyone to have a sense of closeness in Girl Talk. To help make this possible we divide into small groups (within the total large group of Girl Talk) every Wednesday night for 30/40 minutes. Our Bible study discussion takes place in this smaller group. It also allows us more one on one time to get to know one another. In addition to making sure all the members of Girl Talk get a monthly calendar and a member list so we can keep in touch with one another weekly, we also have a social each month. We may have a movie night at someone's house or we may go out to eat. Whatever the case may be, it always involves great food and fellowship with wonderful friends. We have a blast. There's so much more to girl talk...if you'd like more information, please call the church office at 339-5990.

Young at Heart

Meets on the first Tuesday of each month and offers opportunities to older adults for social interaction, educational experiences and just plain fun.
